At this christian spiritual retreat in Limpopo, we help people through solitude, silence, simplicity and slowness to get ready for a visitation from God, hear His voice and have a relationship with Him. The retreat is for meditation, restoration, companionship, and just rest and be.
Also suitable for individuals or congregations / groups who want to hold a planning session or workshop with a growth / healing content for instance men/woman or couples retreat. We also supply counselling retreats if needed.
No conversion is expected when visiting this retreat. People come here for a variety of reasons. To deepen their relationship with God, to look at the way their lives are going or to take some time out from a hectic working life.
“ANY UNDERSTANDING OF GOD THAT DOESN’T TAKE INTO ACCOUNT GOD’S SILENCE IS A HALF TRUTH – IN EFFECT A CRUEL DISTORTION – AND LEAVES US VULNERABLE TO MANIPULATION AND EXPLOITATION BY LEADERS WHO ARE QUITE WILLING TO FILL IN THE BIBLICAL BLANKS WITH WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT NEVER TELLS US.” – EUGENE H. PETERSON
MEDITATION HELPS RECOVER THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN THE WORLD AND EVERYDAY LIFE; IT MAKES UNDERSTANDABLE THE PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH GOD, UNMASKS FALSE GOD EXPERIENCES, AND ALLOWS GOD’S PRESENCE TO EMERGE WHERE ONE MIGHT HAVE OVERLOOKED IT OR IGNORED IT.
(See My Story for how ones spirit can be awaken by Gods Spirit)
Solitude is a U-turn inwardly where you find a whole new world out there in God presence. Then you realise that you were never alone, all along.
Silence is to move away from the expectations, views and demands, you have or other people have. The uninterupted noise of technology. Then you awaken to God’s soft inner voice calling you to your purpose/gifts or the steps you should take in everyday life. This leads to being content with oneself and experience an inner peace.
Simplicity is a central focus, one God. Our homes, lives and minds are not cluttered and occupied with the newest possessions, technology, unimportant busyness and never ending self talk. Then you start to experience a more harmonious lifestyle.
Slowness, the opposite of hastiness. For instance to cultivate the ability to think before you speak. To eat slower, wait longer before making a decision, experience deeper.
